James Scarlett is a highly accomplished business leader, entrepreneur, and adventurer who has significantly impacted the manufacturing industry. As one of the principles of Scarlett, he has set out to build a team that is dedicated to providing new and creative solutions to customers while focusing on the overall customer experience. Scarlett’s passion for manufacturing began early in his career where he developed a keen understanding of process flow and machine-cutting solutions for non-ferrous applications. In 2011, he Co-lead Scarlett with the goal of providing innovative solutions to help drive American manufacturing forward. Through his leadership, Scarlett has become a leading provider of manufacturing equipment and knowledge to improve process flow. Scarlett is proud of his personal achievements, as he is not only a successful entrepreneur and engineer but also a dedicated father and adventurer. He takes pride in leading those around him on personal and professional life adventures. In addition to his work at Scarlett, James is involved in many other pursuits. He is a member of YPO, a global leadership community, and the Chairman of the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association. He is also a commercial pilot and experienced skier. Most notably, James is involved in disability ski coaching, which has given him the opportunity to give back to his community and help others overcome obstacles. His commitment to making a positive impact on the world is his inspiration. Overall, James Scarlett is a visionary leader and dedicated individual who has made a significant impact on the manufacturing industry. He has built a successful business and is committed to driving innovation and growth for years to come.

Education

James received a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Industrial Business Management from Michigan Technological University where he also served as the Director of the Mont Ripley Ski School, as well as the fundraiser chair for Big Brother’s friends of the elderly.

The Fun Stuff

James spends most of his free time with his wife and family in Grand Rapids, MI. In the winter months, you will find him downhill skiing with friends and family.  When the snow isn’t flying you can find James saddled up and riding pedal bikes or motorcycles.
