Chief Technology Engineering Applications Nerd
AKA: James, Jim, Jimmy, J, Jamie, Scarlett
James is a self-proclaimed one step below almost being an expert at many things. While he may not know all the answers, he tends to know a lot of people who can help or where to go to get the answers. James spent 7 years at Gentex as a industrial manufacturing engineer where he spent a great deal of time helping an amazing team of people innovate manufacturing processes while working on a number of automotive platforms and projects. James enjoys applying all this knowledge to the wide variety of applications and challenges he sees across all kinds of different industries. One of James’ greatest strengths is his ability to tie the benefits on new emerging technologies with your manufacturing challenges. Ask him for his help, he is always willing.
James received a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Industrial Business Management from Michigan Technological University where he also served as the Director of the Mont Ripley Ski School, Chairman of the potato rocket physics department accomplishing the first projectile path into the Dean’s office window, as well as the fundraiser chair for Big Brothers friends of the elderly.

The Fun Stuff:
James spends most of his free time with his wife and family in Grand Rapids, MI. When the snow isn’t flying you can find James and some of the other Scarlett team racing sailboats on lake Michigan. It’s no coincidence that the details of engineering have a similar place on the efficiencies and fine adjustments needed to be fast on the water. When the wind isn’t blowing James is most likely saddled up and racing on anything with 2 wheels.
